Slow Fashion Festival is a bi-annual celebration of sustainability in the fashion industry in Austin, Texas.

Co-Founded in 2021 by Mikaela Friedman, Leah Bury, and Reza Cristian, the team produced seven fashion shows, published three zines, and organized events in LA and NYC.

The team works together in a non-hierarchical democracy, as a model of our vision for trust and collaboration within our communities.

The fest fosters a community of inclusivity, transparency, and sustainability. We champion thoughtful consumption, empower attendees with resources, and set new standards in the fashion industry for lasting change. Through education and care, we endeavor to inspire a shift that benefits people, planet, and culture.
